Since then, he has almost constantly been designing and building objects of one sort or another. His real world building experience includes custom bookcase design and fabrication, finish and rough carpentry, set construction, lighting design and light sculptures, as well as general metal working and fabrication.
His design aesthetic is drawn from a wide range of influences including Shaker and Arts and Crafts Design, the American Studio Furniture Movement, Tansu, Asian and Traditional Japanese Design, as well as a host of European modern furniture designs. He was strongly influenced by the sculptural designs of Isamu Noguchi and Constantin Brancusi.
